On February 16, the "Efficient, Sustainable Alliance Symbiosis - 2025 Changrong Sequoia Project Kick-off Meeting" was successfully held in Yuncheng, Shanxi. The meeting was presided over by Zheng Ruihua, Director of Changrong Market Operations, and representatives of enterprises, industry experts, and large-scale pig farm customers from the upstream and downstream of the pig industry chain gathered together to focus on costs and open a new chapter in the symbiosis of the alliance.
Focus on cost, alliance symbiosis
Create an efficient and integrated "supply chain + industrial chain"
Ecosystem
At the beginning of the meeting, Chairman Yao Jun conducted an in-depth analysis of the current situation of the pig industry. He said that in recent years, China's pig industry has undergone in-depth adjustment, from the unreasonable industrial layout in the past to the current "three-point world" pattern, large-scale pig farms are facing huge challenges. Therefore, how to unite to revitalize assets and achieve efficient and sustainable development of the industry has become a common problem faced by the industry.
After analyzing the current situation of the industry, Chairman Yao Jun focused the topic on the Sequoia project. He emphasized that the Sequoia project is a strategic decision made by Changrong to meet the challenges and seize the opportunities. Sequoias, the highest average height trees recorded by Guinness, grow at over 113 meters. After the forest, the root system is developed, with strong vitality and strong anti-risk ability.
The "Sequoia Project" aims to work with upstream and downstream partners in the industrial chain to jointly build an efficient and integrated supply chain and industrial chain ecosystem, and achieve resource sharing, complementary advantages, risk sharing, and win-win cooperation. In terms of target planning, the project will focus on cost, based on the establishment of data benchmarking and data sharing, and help alliance members establish a cost model by providing systematic solutions, establishing a standardized process system, and building a talent management system, so as to achieve a weaning cost of 280 yuan and a 7-120kg cost of 5.5 yuan. At the same time, to solve the problem of "battery life" for the members of the alliance, under the premise of system-wide cooperation, Changrong will make up the column at cost price if there is a problem in the pig herd, so as to help members resist risks and achieve stable operation.
Precision nutrition + high-quality breeding pigs + data empowerment
Help farms reduce costs and increase efficiency
Dr. David Wu, Director of Nutrition Technical Services, Swine Feed Strategic Key Account Division, Cargill ANN, shared Cargill's latest research results and practical experience in the field of precision nutrition with the theme of "Precision Nutrition Helps Farms Increase Efficiency and Reduce Costs". Dr. Wu emphasized that more than 65% of the cost of breeding enterprises comes from feed consumption, and precision nutrition is the most direct and effective means to improve the efficiency of farming, and Cargill will rely on the advantages of its own service system to provide precision nutrition solutions for alliance members to help farms reduce costs and increase efficiency.
Yang Zejun, technical service manager of Changrong Hypor, gave a detailed introduction to Changrong Hypor breeding pigs from three aspects: breeding strategy, breeding pig advantages and pig performance. He said that the Changrong Hypor breeding pigs have performed well in terms of growth rate, reproductive performance and disease resistance, which can help breeding enterprises significantly improve breeding efficiency and provide high-quality provenance guarantee for the sustainable development of the industry.
Wei Yanjun, a digital service expert at Cargill Animal Nutrition and Health, shared how to use the five-tier service system of Data Aggregation to improve breeding efficiency with the theme of "Data Management Helps Farms Reduce Costs and Increase Efficiency". He believes that the modern data management system can help breeding enterprises monitor production status in real time and adjust management strategies in time, so as to effectively reduce costs and improve efficiency.
Work together to create a better future
Write a new chapter in industrial development
In the final discussion session, the guests had a lively discussion on topics such as data management, high-health breeding pigs and cost control. Everyone agreed that data management is a key tool to improve breeding efficiency and achieve scientific decision-making, and the high health of breeding pigs is the basis for ensuring breeding efficiency and sustainable development. At the same time, in the face of industry cost pressure, the combination of precision nutrition and fine management will become an important starting point for reducing costs and increasing efficiency.
In the future, Changrong will work closely with partners to jointly promote the implementation of the "Sequoia Project". It is believed that with the joint efforts of all parties, Changrong "Sequoia Project" will become an open, shared and win-win cooperation platform, injecting strong impetus into the transformation, upgrading and sustainable development of the pig industry, and achieving high-quality development of the industry.
